3(x+1)=-2(x+1)-4

Expand by getting rid of the parentheses: 3(x) + (3)*(1) = (-2)*(x) +(-2)*(1) - 4 3x + 3 = -2x + (-2) - 4 3x + 3 = -2x-2-4 3x+3 = -2x-6 Then solve for x from here. Can you do that?
