If triangle ABC is congruent to triangle JKL list the three pairs of equal sides.
Is the diagram complete? I mean, I know you have to have a more detailed diagram here....
Lemme show.
Actually I don't have a diagram for my homework I have to complete the sentence or in this case list something. No diagram though
OHH I get it now.
Raj you wanna explain or should i continue ?
nvm @rajathsbhat Please proceed.....
hba, all yours.
Nah,I hate geometry.
I don't understand geometry O_o
This is Easy Dude.
not for me O_o
three pairs r A = J, B = K, and C = L?
Ok then. The question would be more accurate if stated as "If triangle ABC is congruent to triangle JKL *in that order* list the three pairs of equal sides. Anyway, all you have to do is draw two identical triangles, each being scalene, like this:|dw:1353957312750:dw| Close enough.
The trick lies in naming the vertices. You can name the first triangle anyway you want. Let's name the vertices A,B,C in the counter-clockwise direction. Now, when you name the second triangle, be careful to name the vertices K,L,M in the same order & starting from the same equivalent point. Like this:|dw:1353957699668:dw| All you have to do now is compare the two triangles & write down the equal sides.
A = K, B = L, and C = M?
Sides. They want sides which have the same measurement. For ex, one of the sides of ABC is AB right? So which *side* of KLM is equal to side BC?
A, K, B etc are vertices--points of the triangle.
Oh ... so... AB = KL, BC = LM, CA = MK?
There ya go. Good job.
Help with one more plz?
if triangle CAB is congruent to triangle FEG list the three pairs of equal angles. Is the answer similar to the one above? with just the single ones though not the doubles
Yes. Absolutely.
So A = K, B = L, and C = M. :) thanks
yeah, angleA=angleK and so on...
