Add . 6 5/6 + 2 1/3

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

@TaylorV1388 what you have to do is change the mixed numbers into improper fractions.

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

@badi made a mistake... so do not copy that.

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

When we change a mixed number we must: 1. Multiply the Denominator by the Number on the left 2. We then take the product of the left number and the denominator and add the numerator to it 3. Keep the denominator the same

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

6 5/6 6*6 = 36 36 + 5 = 41 41/6

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

2 1/3 2*3= 6 6 + 1 = 7 7/3

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

41/6 + 7/3 We need common denominators.. to add fractions.. so lets multiply the second fraction by 2 41/6 + 14/6 = 55/6
