What is the derivative of x^(2)(x-3)?

OpenStudy (mew55):

can u re-write the problem please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You mean \[x^2(x-3)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x ^{2}(x-3)\]

OpenStudy (mew55):

x^2(x-3) X^3-3x^2 3x^2-6x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since we want to avoid doing product rule, we may expand the expression, which gives \[x^3-3x^2\] Now it's much easier to calculate the derivative, which gives \[3x^2-6x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah. Okay, thanks. Expanding makes it easier.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem :)

OpenStudy (mew55):

hey i did the same XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks to you too, mew55. :)
