easy geometry! (just want to check my answer) equation of the perpendicular bisector of the segment with endpoints (-12,15) and (4,-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is your answer/work?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=-9/8x+86/9

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

your slope should be 8/9 not -9/8 you need to flip the fraction and flip the sign

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

this will completely change your answer, but your answer should in the form y = 8/9x + b where b is the y-intercept of the perpendicular bisector

@jim_thompson5910 Oh I forgot the negative reciprocal.. thanks!
