If you were building a computer in outer space, which would be your preferred primary memory – RAM or some form of flash memory?

I don't have a definite answer, but I think flash memory could be better. Electronics in space will suffer from huge doses of radiation and my guess is that RAM (being a volatile memory technology) will suffer more errors than the non-volatile flash (all due to the radiation). I'd deffinately say you would need to check what the effect of the radiation is on both types of memory.
