volume of tank=length(4') x surface area of the top of the cylinder (circle) top of the cylinder pi x r<2 Since d=2 or r=1 so top of cylinder is 3.14 sf total volume of cylinder is 4'x3.14'=12.56cubic feet. The filling rate is 3 cubic feet/minute the tank will be filled in 12.56/3 = 4.18 minutes
