OpenStudy (anonymous):

this evidently is a 30 - 60 - 90 triangle RTS is 60 degree angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we know it is a 30 - 60 - 90 right triangle because the length of the hypotenuse is twice the length of the short leg

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay...... but what could I do to solve?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is nothing to actually do, if you mean like taking 4 steps to "solve for \(x\)" or something you do it from your eyes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you see it is a right triangle because you have that written for you you see that the hypotenuse is twice the short side, so you know it is a 30-60-90 right triangle you are asked for the angle opposite the longest leg, that angle is 60 it is good to have this triangle memorized, you will use it a ton in trig

thanks... I find the "memorize the triange" problems a bit difficult... I'm an algebra kinda gal, and Geometry is kicking my tail this year!..... haha and this is supposed to be trig work???
