I'm asked to find the energy between successive states of an O2 molecule. In the problem, I was given the Morse potential (V(r)=A(e^(-2a(R-R0)-2e^(-a(R-R0)))) and used simple harmonic oscillator approximation of the behavior near R=R0. I've already calculated the frequency of vibration and the zero-point energy, but I am unsure how to find the energy between the successive states. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
