is this problem solvable? if so please do! 10(f)+4(w)=34 6(f)+12(w)=30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply the top equation by -3 to eliminate w

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you have.. -30(f) = -102 and 6(f)=30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plug this in for f in either equation and solve for w

OpenStudy (phi):

you have 2 equations and 2 unknowns, so generally this will be solvable. If the two equations are really the same, then you will get an infinite number of solutions if they represent parallel lines, you would get no solution.
