Please help i dont understand bio at all ill give medal
1. A mutation that causes changes in the amino acid sequence downstream of the mutation is called (1 point) a point mutation. a translocation mutation. a substitution mutation. a frameshift mutation. 2. What will be the outcome of deletion of the third base, A, from the DNA sequence below? Assume that the first base corresponds to the start of a codon. (1 pt) (original) -C-C-A-A-A-T-A-A-A-G- (1 point) The first amino acid in this sequence does not change. A frameshift mutation occurs. Gly-leu-phe is changed to gly-tyr-phe. All of the above are correct.
Yah sorry i forgot to put which ones they are here is what i think b and d
@aaronq and @Frostbite can you guys help
nevermind i think they are d and d
yeah d for both make sense
thanks can u help with these two 3. What type of mutation is albinism? (1 point) advantageous lethal neutral deleterious 4. An original DNA sequence and a mutated form of this sequence are shown below. What type of mutation occurred? Original: -G-C-T-T-A-G-T-C-C-A-G-T-A- Mutation: - G-T-A-G-C-T-T-A-G-T-C-C-A- (1 point) translocation insertion deletion inversion
I think the answers are d and d
im not sure how albinism works, but i would say it's pretty neutral, if you consider lacking pigment and more susceptible to sunburns n what not.. idk if it's deleterious. the other one is translocation
i think albinism causes vision impairment, so i guess that makes it not neutral .. and it's definilty not advantageous, and not lethal... so yeah the only one left is deleterious
D D D A were indeed correct :)
thank you, lovelys(: i shall fan you, and medal.
for anyone that is looking this up in 2016. the correct answers are D D D B
