\(\large -\sqrt{49}\) is just -7 if you want the plus/minus, then you have to say \(\large \pm\sqrt{49}\)

yeah cuz i was thinking that -7^2 and 7^2 both equal 49

that is correct, but the square root of 49 is just 7
