James has two porcelain spheres. The radii of the spheres are in a ratio of 2 : 5. What is the ratio between the volumes of the two spheres? 16 : 125 8 : 125 8 : 25 16 : 25

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

If the ratio of the two radii is 2:5, then you cube each piece to get 2^3 = 8 and 5^3 = 125 So the ratio of the two volumes is 8:125
