OpenStudy (anonymous):

2. 3x = 5x-10 solve for x -2x = -10 x = 5 so gh = 5(5) -10 gh = 25 - 10 gh = 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay, thanks on that one, i wasnt sure how to get x alone it always always confuses me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about number 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and 4 should be 30 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry im not 100% sure about the rest i dont want to give you any wrong answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you. @jim_thompson5910 can you help me with 3 and 5?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

angles ABD and DBC are congruent (they are visually marked) so 10y = 8y + 4 solve for y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=2?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

good

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so each angle is what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean? which angles?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

angle DBC = ??? degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

15

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

no

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

y =2 DBC = 8y+4 DBC = ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh ok, 20, but would i retricethe 15 to that also?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add*

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

where are you getting 15? DBC is 20 degrees, so is angle CBE so add them to get 40 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright i got it. thank you

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
