I need help I don't understand this: F(x)=2x^2-1, g(x)=✔x+1/2 I have to determine weather they're inverse functions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That check is a square root sign by the way

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need compose the functions. F(G(x)) and G(F(X)) and if you do that and get x out from both it is and inverse function. So this means put whatever F(x) is equal to in for x on you equation G(x). and vice versa so put 2x^2-1 in for x in the equation for G(x).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*it is an inverse function.

Ann I see its kinda similar to something else I did in class just more steps thank you very much :) god bless

Ok let me know if you need any help.
