Use synthetic division to find the depressed polynomial of (-2x^3+x^2+4x+4) divided by (x-2)

(-2x^3 + x^2 + 4x + 4)/ (x – 2)

For -2x^3 – x^2 + 4x + 4 it’s 2, 1, 4,4 in descending order of degree of the variable

Since (x – r) = (x – 2) then r is equal 2


2 I 2 + 1 + 4 + 4
4 6 20
2 5 10 24

The reminder is 6

2x^2 + 5x + 10

2x^2 + 5x + 10 + 24/x – 2
