please help!!!!!Henry can ride his horse a 4mph and get to the battlefield on time. if he stops for a 1h speech, he must ride at 5mph for the whole trip to arrive on time. How far is the battlefield?

OpenStudy (joel_atkins):

I think its 10ks? I could be wrong.

how did you get there cuz iv done this problem a million times

OpenStudy (joel_atkins):

Well assume he stops at the beginning for a 1h speech (if he stops during it's impossible to figure out the exact result), then he has to travel exactly 1mph faster to make up for that hour, 10 seems like it fits. If you want to work it out properly, just find out how far you can travel in an hour at 1mph, then times it by 5.

kay ill give it a shot
