Well when two things can go at the same time, in the back of the rules there is usually an 'order of operation'.

Well different kinds of maths have different orders of operations, unfortunately for the specific one you're doing I don't know the order, I was just hoping that by saying the OOO(order) it might be able to get you on track or at least get someone thinking about the write way to answer your question.
