Chem question wrong sec. I know but you get virtually no help in the chem sec. so my question is Explain the following trends in lattice energy. (Select all that apply.) SrO > SrCl2 The oxide ion has a ?1 charge; whereas the chloride ion is ?2. The oxide ion is smaller than the chloride ion. The oxide ion has a ?2 charge; whereas the chloride ion is ?1. The oxide ion is bigger than the chloride ion. The oxide ion is more electronegative than the chloride ion.
??????????? I'm so very confused
ok first yo sub in sr0 to the quadratic equaction above the factorise for the charge. fin the enrgy over latency and then the sectum. then you you can find the oxide ion and penile ion
get it now?
Seriously think I'm being trolled right now
which part dont you get T_T
All of it. My question only involves saying whether or not each statement I listed is true or false.
Integrate .
Oxide ions definitely has a change of \(\delta-2\) and chloride ion should have \(\delta-1\) in this case and the chloride ion is about two times larger than the oxide ion. Also, the oxide ion should be more electroneg than the chloride ion since it has a smaller radius.
Heya - I know the other subjects can get a little slow, but please still post to the correct section. If you have trouble finding an answer please post a link (and ask nicely) in the math chatbox. This question is now closed as it is in the wrong section.
