0=x^(-1/3) Solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=1? @hartnn

hartnn (hartnn):

nopes... cube both side , what u get ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you get x=0?

hartnn (hartnn):

u have choices / options ?? because x is not 0.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have to find critical points of x^(2/3). so i took it's derivative and got (-2/3)x^(-1/3) then i set it equal to zero

hartnn (hartnn):

ok, x^(-1/3) = 0 will have no solution....so no critical points...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, ok thanks again. a little rusty on math

hartnn (hartnn):

welcome ^_^
