(MC)Which location was associated with political machines in the 19th century? Tammany Hall in New York City Haymarket Square in Chicago Independence Hall in Philadelphia Ellis Island in New York City

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Tammany Hall in New York City was the home to a huge political machine that literally ran everything there. Haymarket Square is known more for the Haymarket massacre that occurred after a bomb attack, so it definitely wasn't the site of a political machine. Independence Hall is where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were born creating the foundations for our government today, and Ellis Island was the gateway for many immigrants migrating to America in the 19th century which doesn't make it a political machine.
