compare and contrast driving in the winter and driving in the summer.
Driving at any time of the year can be quite a complicated process. Traffic flow, population, and even overall road knowledge can affect what happens behind the wheel. When driving in the winter one might think that is the worst time to be on the roads. Consider the fact that road conditions might be dangerous due to inclement weather. One never knows when snow, sleet, and ice might strike when the winter months roll around. The opposite is true for summer time. Even though rain can be a problem the majority of summer is nice and warm with no threat of the things that wreak havoc during winter. Though I consider driving in the summer to be more dangerous. People are not as cautious when the weather is nice which is the opposite of true in the winter time. I know that when I drive during the winter months I am more cautious and I have noted that others around me are too. Drivers during the winter times know to drive slower, not run red lights, and are generally more aware. Both seasons have their positives and their negatives. They can be considered similar in the fact that weather circumstances might affect travel. Another way they are similar is that really in either case roadways can still be dangerous even though summer driving is smoother winter drivers are known to be safer.
