You need to rewrite the equation with y alone on one side. So begin with 5y = -2x - 10. Then you need to divide both sides (all terms on both sides) by 5 so you get 5y/5 = -2x/5 -10/5 which gives you y = -2x/5 - 2. The -2/5 with the x is the slope. The -2 is the y-intercept
