A sign in a clothing store said, "All prices reduced 25% . Final prices marked on tags." DeLea found a sweatshirt that showed a price of $27. What was the original price of the sweatshirt? A. $27.25 B. $33.75 C. $36.00 D. $52.00
Well think of it this way, take your problem and turn it into the equations, you have a sweatshirt at $27 and a 25% reduction on it, what do you have to do to get it back to full price?
Uh i have noo idea lol im no good at math
You have to divide 27 by .25
you get 108
Oh thanks lol
yep
@iluvlucy If you help them work through the problem instead of doing it for them they can do it themselves next time. That's what I was going to do. That's correct though.
I know.... but it also sometimes helps me if I know the answer so that I can figure out how it worked. Thanks for the suggestion
@dread907 Thanks for your help though ! :)
