OpenStudy (anonymous):

1.angle 8 2.angle 10 3.angle 2 4. angle 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is not less than what?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

"Use the Exterior Angle Theorem to determine which of the following angle measures is NOT less than ___" what goes in the blank?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops less than 13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

angle 9

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

angle 2 is less than angle 13 because m < 2 + m < 10 = m < 13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh so hunter is wrong @jim_thompson5910

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think jim got this geometry is not my thing

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so the answer can't be angle 2

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

no, i just said that the answer can't be angle 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh lol 9

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

it's either 8 or 9, one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so I might be right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

will see lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well then...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if i helped glad i did

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ha ty

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so jim is it 9??

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok this is going to look like strange arithmetic (so bear with me) m < 8 + m < 1 = m < 12 m < 8 + m < 1 = m < 10 m < 8 = m < 10 - m < 1 Since angle 10 < angle 13 this means that angle 8 < angle 13 so this rules out angle 8

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so we've ruled out angles: 2, 10, and 8 leaving angle 9 as the final answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok
