Here's your new best friend: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solubility_table. Scroll down to potassium chloride at 80 degrees Celsius, and you'll see that 51.3 grams of it dissolve in 100 grams of water. Multiply by 5 for 500 grams of water, and you get 256.5 grams of KCl.
