Solve the equation. Check your solution. 0.4k - 0.6 = 1.3k + 1.2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

minus 1.2 to the other side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

minus 0.4k to the other side as well

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But wouldn't you have to change the decimals to fractions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you want to

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or if the problem calls for it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says Equations with Decimals Solve the equation. Check your solution.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k=-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does it show you the answer or no?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No but I checked it, by substituting k for -2 and both sides came out to be -1.4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah.. the problem is equaled to one another. You had to find out what number can make it equaled to one another. The answer, -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
