Divide using long division (11x + 9) (11x - 9) 11x^2 - 79 11x^2 + 79

Divide what by what lol

haha my bad its (11x^2+79x-72)/(x+8)

You're gonna wanna do this in terms of x. So first you wanna see, what do I have to times x by to get 11x^2? 11x, right? So times x+8 by 11x^2 and you'll get 11x^2+88x. Then you subtract that from 11x^2+79x just like you would with normal division. Then you'll have -9x. Then you look, what do I times x by to get -9x? -9. So then you times that by x+8 and you'll end up with -9x-72. Subtract that from 79x-72 and there ya go :) Your final answer should be 11x-9x
