b – 3 > –1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b > 2

OpenStudy (kuoministers):

To solve this you need to add 3 to both parts of the equation. b - 3 +3 > -1 + 3 Which gives you b > 2

I am not sure why this isnt sinking in for me! thank you

OpenStudy (kuoministers):

But you do get it now right? We added 3 because if you add 3 to a -3 it will give you 0. So to makes this equation true we need to add 3 to both sides :)
