A car leaves from A to B (300km distance). The avarage velocity is between 50 and 100km/h. What can we say about the probability of its arrival time? First method: If it runs 100km/h -> arrive time: 3pm. If 50km/h -> 6pm. Mid-point for T is 4.30pm. By the principle of indifference it will as likely to arrive before 4.30pm. On the other hand... Half between 50 and 100 is 75. By the same Principle it is as likely travelling less as it travels more than 75 km/h. If it travels 75 km/h it will arrive at ... (?). Conclusion: ??
