Chemical reactions are important to living organisms because (1 point) 1.they alter the activation energies necessary to initiate life processes in an organism. 2.they provide a purpose for the enzymes made by an organism. 3.they allow the organism to use matter and energy from the environment for life processes. 4.they enable the organism to decompose after it dies.
Process of elimination is a good way to approach these questions. For example, two is probably not the answer because enzymes exist to help with chemical reactions; chemical reactions didn't come into being so that enzymes would have something to do. Do you have any ideas which it is or isn't?
I actually am leaning toward the third answer.. but i am not 100%..
3.they allow the organism to use matter and energy from the environment for life processes.
