youd prolly want to start by making a list of values when x = 0 to 2, that would help to define some solid point for a graph; and just let k=1 for the time being

not including 0 or 2 of course .... they wont make nice values

i spose you can define the slope and concavity and such using calculus yes; and it will give you a good idea of what its spose to look like

you can use x=1 as a means of finding a solid point to anchor it to as well
