Henley’s Moving Company helped 120 families relocate to new cities. Twelve families reported that damage had occurred during the move. What percent of families did NOT report damage? 88% 90% 12% 10%
Okay so there is really no way to explain this other than the following: Do you know how to find a percentage of what you got on a grade? Say if you got 14/20 do you know how to find the percentage of that grade?
O.O
hahaha ok first take 12/120 once you get that you'll times it by one hundred
Nevermind, I don't know how to explain this out and have you work it out, try 12/120 and get your answer.
takke 100- your answer (10) and you get 90% your final answer
@__assassin__ Yeah I didn't know how to explain this without just doing that so I was just giving up and doing that because I was stumped with an explanation.
hahaha its cool dread
I didn't get 90 percent... 90 percent of 120 would be 75 families...
i've been helpin @rainbowink for the past 2 hours ;D
no its not, 90% of 120 is 108
HAHA thankiee friend dont know what I wouldnt of done without you 57 __assassin__
@dread907 120 * 0.90 = 108
hahaha my username is just assassin 57 is my smartscore right now
That's not how you would figure this out though, it'd be 12/120 because take the grade thing for example. You want to figure out the percent of your grade so you'd simply do 14/20= .6 which would be .60% I know this because I was homeschooled four years and had to know how to get my percentage because my mother did not know how.
Think of it this way Leon and assassin, 1/4 is also 25% and 1 divided by 4 is .25 but if you took .25 * 100 is 625. That's hardly correct. 12/20 is .1 which would be translated to .10% for the answer to this problem.
