A race organizer bought 32 gallons of sports drink for a race. How many quarts of sports drink did he buy? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know how many quarts are in a gallon?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

To convert these units, you either multiply or divide. There are 4 quarts in a gallon. Will there be more quarts or gallons? Do you multiply 32 by 4 or divide 32 by 4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes @srw1496 it's 1=4 and @mathstudent55 idk how to convert

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

1 gallon = 4 quarts. Every gallon has 4 quarts. If you have 32 gallons, every one of those gallons has 4 quarts, so 32 gal = 32 x 4 quarts
