Factor 2x^2-7xy+6y^2

first check the product of 2 and 6, it is 12. Now can you factor 12 into 2 integers so that there sum or difference will be 7? it would be 3 and 4 right? 3x4=12 and 3+4 is 7 so now break down the middle term -7x into two terms, -3x-4x 2x^2 + (-3x-4x) + 6y^2 2x^2-3x -4x+6y^2 x(2x-3y) - 2y(2y-3y) (x-2) (2x-3y)
