The sum of the speeds of two trains is 725.5 miles per hour. if the speed of the first train is 10.5 mph faster than the second train, find the speeds of each.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well if you let the speed of the slower train = x then the facter train is x + 10.5 so the sum of their speeds is x + x + 10.5 = 725.5 just solve for x
