The first assignment asks us to insert our multiple pieces of code into the homework_1.py template. For what? Is somebody going to be reading this stuff? Is the homework just for us to do without turning it in? Please explain more about how homework / testing works. Sorry if I missed where this is written.

You are the greatest.  Of course that's what I thought but I needed to make sure I wasn't "ignoring" something.  My preference is that this is stated somewhere very directly so we know what the rules are upfront (or maybe it is and I missed it.
