I have to write a research paper on this topic but I just need the basic answer for now(don't have to go into detail).
Nuclear energy is controversial in this country, but it is used worldwide. Explain how it works and why it is not more popular in this country.

today's world is running after nuclear energy as it is the most efficient form of non renewable energy on this earth.the energy obtained from one kg of nuclear source is equal to the energy form 100 tons of coal.the mechanism of getting nuclear energy in the nuclear reactor is same as that of mechanism in the nuclear bomb, but in a controlled way.hence if anything wrong happens in controlling it would turn into a disastrous issue like hiroshima and ngasaki.
but today's world is equipped with the technology that can avoid such type of accidents.nuclear energy is controversial in india as people are worried about this reason.recent japan's nuclear disaster also added to this reason.but in a developing country like india it is mandatory to have nuclear power resource.

Nuclear energy is can be produced by using nuclear fission reactor where nuclear fissile material is burned to produce heat energy that boiled water to produce steam that circulate to rotate electricity generator to produce electric energy from nuclear energy this is why it is popular and the controversy arises from the fact that natural disaster like earth quake sometime may cause big accident there to make nuclear disaster like in Chernobyl.
