Use Gaussian elimination to find the complete solution to the system of equations, or find that none exists. 3x - 2y + 2z - w = 2 4x + y + z + 6w = 8 -3x + 2y - 2z + w = 5 5x + 3z - 2w = 1

A. {(2, 0, -3/37, 9/37)} B. {(1, -1/3, 4/9, 6)} C. ∅ D. {( 1/2, 0, -37/3, 37/9)}

The first thing I would do is start with equatino #3. Move it to the top. Then, add it to the three other equations. This doesn't quite finish off the first column (x), but it does get you on your way.

i just don't understand how to do this

Did you do what I said? That's a really good start.
