OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

In a regular polygon of n sides, the sum of the measures of teh interior angles is (n - 2)180. For an octagon it's (8 - 2)180 = 1800 Since it has 8 congruent interior angles, each measures 1080/8 = 135 deg That's the measure of a above. With that you can find b. Now do the same calculations for a hexagon and you get d with which you can calculate c. Then add b and c.
