Nancy drew parallelogram ABCD as shown. On the same grid she will draw parallelogram PQRS similar to parallelogram ABCD with the ratio of corresponding side lengths PQ and AB equal to 2 : 1. If the coordinates of vertex P are (-4, 4), what could be the coordinates of vertex Q?

(-8, 8) (-4, 10) (8, 3) (2, 4)

That distance from A to B is 3 units. If the ratio is 2:1, then the length from P to Q is 6 units. Starting from P at (-4,4) and moving to the right 6 units should give you the vertex coordinate for Q.
