5 friends pay £15 each to hire a hall for band practice. How would 15 friends pay each to hire the same hall? please help, i Have to give up gymnastics if I don't get an A:'(

i agree with you, the problem is badly worded! But don't overthink it ;) they are renting the hall as a group so they are pooling their money together. They are each paying 15 pounds and there are 5 of them. you could think of it as 5 groups of 15 pound stacks = the total number of pounds or 5 X 15 = ? Does this help you? Good luck!

yes very, thankyou so much:D I know it's very badly written, thanks ever so much x

@olivia.allen.x What do you think the answer is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it's that they each have to pay £5 each?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

5 friends X $15/friend = 15 friends X $5/friend ab=ba

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you list the full problem? What is the problem asking you to solve for?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is all the information that I was given on this question

OpenStudy (anonymous):
