Hello I need some help with finding or learning to find the critical point of the equation f(x)=-2(X+2)/X^2+4, could some help do this equation with a step by step break down. Thank you.

First you take the derivative of f(x) Then you set f'(x) = 0 and solve for x!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f'(x) = (4x(x+2)) / ((x^2 + 4)^2) - 2/(x^2 +4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0 = (4x(x+2)) / ((x^2 + 4)^2) - 2/(x^2 +4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x = + or -( (2sqrt2)-2)

Scherniak is this the answer, Thank you.
