When comparing a square and a rectangle, one major difference is: Squares must have four 90˚ angles. Rectangles do not have to have all 90˚ angles. Squares have diagonals that bisect each other. Rectangles have diagonals that are perpendicular. Squares have two sets of equal sides. Rectangles have only one set of parallel sides.
