two monomials are shown below 450x2y5 3000x4y3 What is the least common multiple of these monomials? a. 2xy b. 30xy c.150 x2 y3 d. 9000 x4 y5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I said C because 450 and 3000's lowest common factor is 150 and then you find the least common factor of the x and y 2 and 3.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

least common multiple or greatest common factor?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

if it's gcf, the answer is c. if it's lcm, it's neither

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's what I meant. gcf.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

well the question says lcm. that's why i'm unsure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

common multiple (:

OpenStudy (aripotta):

then the answer isn't there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just common multiple?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

it says least common multiple

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know, the dude said diff.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

and 3000 x 450 = 1350000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gcf is multiplying numbers to equal the total..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not together

OpenStudy (aripotta):

but we're trying to find the lcm lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know you still don't multiply them together

OpenStudy (aripotta):

...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what

OpenStudy (aripotta):

the asker isn't even here, so i doesn't matter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha okay!

OpenStudy (aripotta):
