Simplify. Help needed with the part b!

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

i'll solve the first part, simplifying each term. \[\large 8^{x+2}=8^x 8^2=(8^x)(64)=64(8^x)\]

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

\[\large 34 (2^{3x})=34((2^3)^x)=34(8^x)\]

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

numerator: \[\large 8^{x+2}-34(2^{3x})=64(8^x)-34(8^x)=30(8^x)\]

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

denominator: \[\large \left( \sqrt{8} \right)^{2x+1}=\left( \sqrt{8} \right)^{2x}\left( \sqrt{8}\right)=\left(\left(\sqrt{8}\right)^2\right)^x\sqrt{8}=8^x \sqrt8\]

there is too much math in this thread, so i drew a picture of a bat |dw:1354531692596:dw|
