i have to paint the classroom with 2 coats of paint and then fill it with sand. the volume of the room is 7,364.34 cubic feet. how much paint will i need? also how much sand? please i need formulas!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the shape of the classroom?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a square

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you mean a cube

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i guess so.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take the cube root of 7364.34, and you will get the dimensions of the room. the amount of paint you need will be equal to the surface area of the room times 2 because of the 2 coats of paint. SA = 2(4b^2) the amount of sand is equal to the room's volume

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does the b stand for?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dimension of the room

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you.
