Help please!!!!!!!

\[\sqrt{x+5-10=20}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=625

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you explain please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

√x+5-10=20= √x-5=20=√x=25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

√x+5-10=20 is the same as √x-5=20 because 5+-10= 5, so you are left with √x+5=20 which is the same as √x+25 since 20+5=25
