What number would you add to each side of the equation (attached) to complete the square? Note: you do not have to solve the equation.

x^2 = 3 - 2x

x^2 + 2x = 3

Now take half of the x coefficient (2) to get 1. Then square this to get 1^2 = 1

Add this to both sides

x^2 + 2x + 1 = 3 + 1
