can some one please help me solve 16x^2-9 with factoring by grouping

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(4x+3)(4x-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks but can you explain how to get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so this one is pretty easy, you actually don't need to group. its a difference of squares. so the sq. rt of 16x^2 is 4x and the sq rt of 9 is three. Since there is a minus sign, the signs must be opposite. if you FOIL (4x+3)(4x-3) you'll get 16x^2-9
